All Saints’ After School

We run an after-school programme based at All Saints’ Methven.

This is fun, engaging, educational, and cost effective after school option for primary aged children. All Saints’ After School is currently run on Wednesdays from 3pm to 5pm during term time, starting Wednesday 19th February 2025. We will add additional days if families are interested.

Children are collected from Methven Primary School and we head down to All Saints for a fun afternoon which can include: the science station, the craft corner, garden club, free play, organized games, music time, or the reading corner, sometimes we even have special guests.

Our leaders are volunteers to keep the cost as affordable as possible for families, and our programme is overseen by a registered teacher.

To enrol, either fill in the online enrolment form or download the paper form and email it to midcanterburyanglican@gmail.com you can also download our policies and procedures if you’d like to read them. The cost is $2 per child per day and includes a light snack.

We are a church but everything we do is open to everyone in the community and all families are welcome at our after school programme. We have a karakia before snack time and a bible story. We also explore other cultures and traditions through our different activities through the year, for example, we might look at Chinese New Year, Diwali, and Matariki and matauranga Maori. It’s important to us to provide a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment that will contribute to each child’s growth and development.
